So what is the verdict? Does this dress look Chinese, African, American, or a little bit of both? I feel like it is more American Chinese than African even though in Africa I would get the same style of a dress except a bit longer. The print though just isn't Guinea or Burkina. In America would it look out of place? Have I lost my American sense of fashion? I feel like the pattern is a bit too busy for America.Also, I feel a bit naked. I don't like showing my legs. In Africa, women also did not like showing their legs. In China at least in my city, women don't like showing their shoulders, but showing legs is fine.

Pretty dress! Hum, somehow I haven't seen dresses like this in china.. I don't know if it's the cut or the pattern. I feel here women were dresses that in a way are more fluttering (not sure of the rigth word. Like, less tight, even though your dress is not tight)
You're missing a big fake YVES SAINT LAURENT somewhere, and then you'd make it Chinese right away :D
I think the dress is gorgeous, and if I saw it in America, I'd snap it up right away. I'm a sucker for bright red and large detailed flowers. I think if you wore that in America, you'd get a lot of compliments on it.

I think it's lovely.
The shape and fit are American, but the over-sized floral print is very Chinese, I feel. (And of course the red is very Chinese.) I can see my aunts wearing prints like that.
I think the new garments look really good. I love the printed cottons.
